A new indoor skydiving centre just opened outside of Toronto

You can now experience the thrill of skydiving without having to plummet to the ground at high-speed at Toronto’s newest indoor skydiving centre.

iFLY, an indoor skydiving company, has opened its second local location, a quick 45-minutes east of downtown in Whitby.

The new facility features an 18-foot-tall glass flight chamber with wall-to-wall airflow, replicating the exact feeling of jumping out of an airplane.

Skydiving at iFLY gives you a feel for what skydivers experience during the free-fall portion of their skydiving jump from 13,500 feet in the air, but without having to jump out of a plane.

According to iFLY, “Flying in the tunnel feels like you’re floating. There is no ‘falling’ sensation.”

When it’s time to fly, you will be lifted by the air flow in the flight chamber and once you’re in a stable position you can move around.

The entire flight experience is 60 seconds in length, the same as the freefall portion of a skydive.

Still not convinced that you need to check this out?

The entire iFLY experience is done in a safe and supervised environment, which is why it’s great for all ages. Seriously, you can start training here at just 4-years-old.

Visitors who have never gone flying before will participate in a training course where they’ll learn everything they need to know and have plenty of time to ask questions.

You can find the new location at 75 Consumers Drive, Whitby, On.
