A 10-week Filipino street food festival has been taking over Toronto and is running until mid-October, just in time for summer.

Kanto Night 2020 is celebrated every Friday since August 14 and will be running right to October 16.

Kanto by Tita Flips is a family-run business that specializes in creating Filipino dishes and pastries that are true and with authentic flavours.

“The menu is carefully selected to give you a taste of the culture of each region. This year will be more intimate, focusing more on quality and the best of the Philippine provinces,” said Kanto in the event description.

Health and safety measures will be put in place, asking everyone to physically distance. Customers are more than welcome to pick up their food and eat at a nearby park and tables.

“Join the fun and experience new cultures and food from around the Philippines that you never had before.”

This street food festival isn’t the only one set for Toronto this week. A Mac and Cheese fest is coming to Scarborough Town Centre this weekend behind the creative minds of Street Eats Market.

There’s a lot of food to discover in Toronto, just make sure you have enough space to try it all!

Kanto Night 2020
