Toronto, we’re officially half way to the weekend!

One of a Kind Show Spring Edition

What: While this market is much larger than your typical artisan market, the One of a Kind Show is the perfect opportunity to shop for Canadian handmade goods while it’s still freezing outside. With over 500 artisans showing off their creations, there’s something for everyone at the One of a Kind Show.

When: March 27 to 31
Time: Wednesday, 10 am to 9 pm; Thursday, 10 am to 11 pm; Friday and Saturday, 10 am to 9 pm; Sunday, 10 am to 6 pm

HUGO Reverse Party

What: HUGO is throwing an exclusive party to celebrate their unique Reverse collection. The collection is designed for those who take their own approach to style, offering a full range of tailoring and casual pieces with a fashion-forward attitude. You’ll get the opportunity to create your own limited-edition unique HUGO Reverse unisex t-shirt or sweatshirt printed with your name (or any other word you like), in HUGO’s reverse style.

Betty: They Say I’m Different Screening

What: Directed by Phil Cox, this film traces the life of Betty Davis and her upbringing on a farm in North Carolina through to her funk career and her mysterious 30-year disappearance from the spotlight and her battle with mental illness and poverty. The filmmakers tracked Davis down in 2012 and got her participation for the documentary.

Becoming Burlesque Screening

What: This film follows Fatima, a modern Muslim girl raised in a family of mixed-cultures and mixed messages about what her role in the world is. After being drawn into the empowering world of sexy cabaret, she unleashes her brave and confident Burlesque persona “Babylon.” Fatima must now try to reconcile her old self with her new found identity.

Citadel + Compagnie: Amorous Playlist

What: The latest collaboration between talented Toronto based artists Riley Sims and Blunt Chunks, Amorous Playlist is a dance/concert hybrid that celebrates the glory and pain of love.

When: March 27 to 30
Time: Performances are at 8 pm
Where: 304 Parliament Street
Admission: Tickets range from $20 to $25
