CONTACT Photography Festival

What: Back for another year is the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, the largest annual photography event in the world, which showcases works from hundreds of photographers at locations all over the city.

When: On now until May 31

Canstruction Toronto 2019

What: Tonight, a jury will judge the submitted designs for Construction, an annual international design and build competition that raises awareness about the growing hunger gap. Teams of architects, engineers, designers and students design and build ‘Canstructures’, structures made entirely from canned foods within a 10’x10’x8’ space.

Free John Wick: Chapter 2 Outdoor Screening

What: This evening, Stackt Market will be hosting a free outdoor screening of JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2, starring Keanu Reeves, Common, Ruby Rose and Laurence Fishburne. If you’ve seen either film in the series, you know Keanu Reeves’ character is an animal lover so audience members are encouraged to bring their furry accomplice to this screening. There will also be pet-friendly activities to enjoy, drink specials, prizes, and even a John Wick look-alike contest.

Comedy on College

What: Nothing beats an evening filled with some good old fashioned belly laughs. Head to Little Italy where you can enjoy a mixture of talented up-and-coming comics and some seasoned pros, in addition to cheap eats and a killer beer list.

Boys N the Hood Screening

What: Tonight’s blockbuster screening is Boys N the Hood, which follows the lives of three young men living in the Crenshaw ghetto of Los Angeles, dissecting questions of race, relationships, violence, and future prospects.
