There’s something for everyone, so don’t hold back!

Harvest Festival at Springridge Farm

Are the only animals your kids see at the local park a family of oversized raccoons with rabies? It’s time for us city slickers to learn a little something about living off the land. Grab your sons and daughters, and head to Springridge Farm for a wagon ride through a cornfield. There’s even a singing chicken show! It’s also the perfect opportunity to take a family Facebook photo in a pumpkin patch, so all those “likes” you get will make the drive worth it. Entry costs $12 per person.

Legends of Horror at Casa Loma

Many locals have long suspected Casa Loma to be haunted. Leaning into that mythology, this October, Casa Loma is hosting a Halloween-themed promenade theatre event. Walk through a 1.2 KM trail of terror that weaves its way through this Toronto landmark. It features such vignettes as Dracula rising, and offers a close encounter with The Phantom of the Opera. Tickets cost $40 in advance and $45 the door.

Cask Days Festival

It’s time to get your drink on at Toronto’s annual cask-conditioned ales event. Go sip delicious cask ales at the historic Evergreen Brickworks, surrounded by atmospheric music, and other drunk revellers with discerning palates. You can even sample gourmet sandwiches from the famous Lardo’s in Portland. Cask ale lasts just a few days before spoiling, so if you love beer, this is one opportunity you cannot afford to miss. Tickets start at $35.
