What: The annual Friends of Toronto Public Library Clearance Book Sale is taking place at the Toronto Reference Library this March 14 and it’s bound to be the best bang for your buck when it comes to books. Items for sale include CDs, books, and DVDs, and are priced from just 10 cents to $1, with the highest pricing listed around $5 and the majority of materials priced at $1.

Epic Plant-Based Pizza Showdown

What: Planta, Virtuous Pie and Pizzeria Libretto are bringing Toronto a Plant-Based Pizza Showdown to celebrate Pi Day. Chefs will battle, face-to-face, to earn bragging rights for Best Crust, Most Creative and Best Presentation. And you get to taste the results of their efforts.

Toronto Comicon

SPD Toronto

What: This St. Patrick’s Day, the fifth annual Guinness SPD will welcome 6,000 green-clad party-goers for a free pancake breakfast, live music, Irish fiddlers and dancers and tons of activities like life-sized games and foosball at a sprawling 45,000-sq-ft party on Toronto’s harbourfront.

Bingo Loco

What: Self-dubbed as Ireland’s maddest bingo party, Bingo Loco has filled theatres across Ireland, Australia, and the United Kingdom, entertaining more than 60,000 people in the process. But what makes their event so different from an ordinary game of bingo? Think conga lines, party anthems, lip-synch battles, dance-offs, and cannons filled with 600 kg of confetti.
