The start of a new week means it’s time to start filling in your schedule with events and activities.

But in a city as lively as Toronto it can tough to decide what you do. Luckily, we’ve sifted through all the top Toronto events to weed out a handful of the best events, festivals and things to do in the coming week.

Fast in the 6

What: Around May 26 (or as predicted by the moon), Muslims around the world will begin to fast as part of Ramadan. On June 9th, in Toronto, a group of Canadians are getting together for a massive celebration that will unite Canadians of all backgrounds and invites the community to break fast together.

When: June 9, 8 pm to 11 pm
Where: Nathan Phillips Square

BBQ Eats

What: This event aims to celebrate the diverse range of BBQ-related traditions from countries around the world. There will be over 30 different BBQ vendors and a BBQ competition, so this is definitely an event to get fired up for.

When: June 9, 6 pm to midnight; June 10, noon to midnight; June 11, noon to 7 pm

Canadian Sport Film Festival

What: The Canadian Sport Film Festival (CSFF) is back for another year and will be hosting a diverse slate of feature and short-length films, documentaries, and animations that highlight the ways in which sport, recreation, and play matter in the everyday lives of people.

When: June 9 to 11

Ontario Craft Beer Week

What: Hosted by 70+ Ontario craft breweries, Ontario Craft Beer Week features hundreds of craft beer-themed, grassroots events held throughout the GTA. Make sure to check the event website to find out what’s happening nearest you.

When: June 10 to 18
Where: Venues located throughout the city

Magic Under The Stars

What: As part of the 5th annual Scarborough Worldwide Film Festival, Torontonians are invited to head down to Bluffers Park to watch the iconic “2001: A Space Odyssey” under the stars. The evening screening will begin at sundown and is bound to be an unforgettable beach experience. The free event is outdoors, so be sure to bring chairs, blankets, and of course, popcorn.

Danforth East Yard Sale

What: The annual Danforth East Yard Sale will be filled with local retailers and plenty of sidewalk sale fun. Hosted by the Danforth Mosaic BIA, admission is free, but if you want to take home some unique treasures you’ll need to bring some dough!
