Free Cone Day
What: Ben and Jerry’s will be serving up scoops atop cones as per annual tradition on April 9. This year, they’ll be on campus at Ryerson University. If there’s ever a reason to head back to school, it’s when there’s free ice cream on the line.

Food Waste – Past and Present
What: Learn from Magdaline Dontsos, former faculty of the Food and Nutrition Management program at Centennial College, about modern-day adjustments possible to make food production more sustainable. Plus, try bites made from “recovered food waste.”

Eating Insects Dinner
What: If you’ve never eaten a bug before, you’ll have the chance to experience a whole meal infused with them at an upcoming dinner service, hosted by Cookie Martinez. Don’t fear. If sustainability is the name, eating insects is the game. Open your mind! You like crunchy food, right?

AGO Massive XV
What: Now in its 15th year, this massive contemporary art party will transform the art gallery into an epic maze filled with immersive performances and installations from the city’s most promising creators and DJs that will get you moving and delicious food and drinks.

Neon Pop-Up Gallery at Junction House
What: This free exhibit runs from April 12 to 14 at the Junction House and will feature a collection of neon signs, including the famed Hard Rock Museum guitar that’s over 12 feet and takes over the west end of Toronto. With plans for a permanent museum in downtown Toronto well underway, Neon Museum Toronto is partnering with Slate Asset Management and Neon Demon for this three-day exhibit.

Record Store Day
What: This April, music lovers are invited to celebrate independent record stores all over the city with parties, in-store performances and special releases.
