The City of Toronto says a city-run childcare centre is temporarily closed after two kids and two staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

The cases are at Flemingdon Early Learning & Child Care Centre, and the individuals learned they had the virus over winter break.

Staff and children will now self-isolate for 14 days, and the daycare will undergo a thorough cleaning.

Families who use the centre were notified of the situation on January 2, according to a City of Toronto news release.

The centre employs 18 staff and usually has 23 children in its care.
