International, domestic flights to Toronto identified with coronavirus cases

Two more international and domestic flights to Toronto were found to be carrying COVID-19 this month, adding to the growing list of exposed flights.

According to the Canadian government, a flight through Turkish Airlines with flight number TK17 on August 16 from Istanbul to Toronto had confirmed COVID-19 cases among the plane.

The rows affected are yet unknown.

Another flight, this time within Canada, was also found to be carrying the virus from Edmonton to Toronto on August 15.

West Jet flight number WS428 had rows three to nine were possibly affected.

“If you have recently returned to Canada, you must quarantine for 14 days from the date you arrived in Canada. This is mandatory, whether or not you have symptoms,” the government’s website reads.
