Sorry, Toronto Comicon fans. You’ll have to wait another year to reunite with your favourite comic stars. FAN EXPO Canada has announced it will be cancelling this year’s event.

In a statement, FAN EXPO has shared the difficult news that it will be cancelling its Toronto Comicon 2021 event.

“Your safety is always a top priority so we can continue to celebrate all things fandom in the years to come. So, with recent COVID-19 developments, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Toronto Comicon 2021,” reads the statement.

“You represent the best in our fan community and we are super optimistic we’ll see you soon at FAN EXPO Canada from August 26 – 29.”

Though the summer may sound promising, it will all depend on provincial rules and regulations following the developments of the virus.

Dates for the 2022 event have already been shared for March 18 to 20, and they’ll have something special planned for when the time comes.

“We know how important this show is and we will continue to provide the best and safest experience for you,” said Toronto Comicon.
