“The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) takes every precaution, following the guidance of Toronto Public Health, to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff members,” the website reads.

The school board pointed out that a confirmed case at school does not mean an individual was exposed to the virus at school.

“The individual may have been exposed elsewhere in the community.”

And when there is a confirmed case of coronavirus at the school, there will be a letter from Toronto Public Health informing the school community of the possible exposure.

To date, there has been a total of 72 cases in Ontario schools.
