Fans who have bought or are looking to buy Toronto Blue Jays playoff tickets may have noticed some technical difficulties earlier in the day.
The city of Toronto, and the entire country of Canada for that matter, are eagerly awaiting Game 7 of the ALCS on Monday night versus the Seattle Mariners. Should the Jays come out on top, they will head to the World Series for the first time since 1993.
Many fans have already bought tickets to Monday’s game, while plenty of others are looking to grab some on Ticketmaster. Early on Monday, some noticed issues when trying to do so due to a web outage. The Blue Jays attempted to explain the situation this morning.
“Ticketmaster is currently experiencing ticket management issues due to a larger Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage,” the Jays wrote in a statement. “We are actively working with both groups to resolve the issue as soon as possible and will share an update in the coming hours. Please check back soon for the latest updates and hold off on managing your tickets as we work through this.”
There is good news, however, as the Jays have since released a following update, letting fans know that they should now be able to access their tickets for Monday’s massive game.
“The global AWS outage affecting Ticketmaster and Blue Jays ticket management is being resolved and hte system is returning to normal,” the Blue Jays wrote. “Please try to access your tickets and add them to your Apple or Google wallet, MLB Ball park app, or Ticketmaster app. If you were transferred tickets and did not receive an email confirmation, please log in to Ticketmaster to accept the tickets.”

While this would have undoubtedly been a stressful situation to those who did have tickets, the issue seems to be fully resolved with roughly three hours remaining until first pitch.
