You won’t have to wait until summer to enjoy campsite vibes. A new BBQ pop-up restaurant is opening in Toronto this weekend.

Camp Smokehouse, the newest pop-up restaurant for everything BBQ, will be opening up on January 24, serving up a full menu of classic fireside meals.

“Through Camp, I want to inspire customers to head back to fun to let loose a little,” said Jordan Harasinski Gillis, the name behind the pop-up and also the owner of Toronto’s Tokyo Hot Fried Chicken.

“We are going through a tough time, and I wanted to launch a brand and a menu that inspires the carefree feeling you get when you head up north, head to the park, or when you slap that work laptop closed and put your feet up. Food can serve as a vehicle to take us to a moment or to a feeling that is nostalgic and comforting – this is what Camp Smokehouse is all about.”

The menu definitely packs a punch with its Smoked Brisket Sandwiches made with triple-A marinated beef for a minimum of 12-hours.

Both “The Sleeping Giant” and the “The Mess Hall” are made with 1/3 pound of brisket on a brioche bun, one with house-made pickles and mustard sauce and the other with creamy coleslaw and apple barbecue sauce.

Sides are also available such as smoked fries, creamy coleslaw, and weiners and baked beans. And for dessert, the proper campsite treat, s’mores.

They’ll be open every Sunday until they run out of all the goods.
