The Toronto Arrows rugby team is moonlighting as a moving company

May 9 2019, 1:40 am

To be a professional rugby player, you’ve got to meet a range of physical requirements. Rugby is a tough sport (sorry, baseball players), and with plenty of direct contact on the field, team members have to be strong and resilient.

So when you think about it, who better to help you move than pro rugby players? Because let’s be real, most of us mere mortals struggle when we attempt to lift a sofa from one corner of the room to another.

To celebrate the Toronto Arrows’ recent move downtown to Lamport Stadium in Liberty Village, the team has partnered up with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? to give one lucky fan the chance to declutter ahead of their own move.

If you’re moving in the GTA, the Toronto Arrows, Canada’s first professional rugby union team, want to help out in the best way possible: By lifting your heavy household objects.

It’s time to get rid of those heavy items you’ve been meaning to throw away for months with the help of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and the strength of the Toronto Arrows.

Here’s how you can apply:

Send an email to [email protected] by Thursday, May 16 and answer the following questions:

  • What date is your move?
  • What part of the GTA do you live in?
  • What item(s) are you looking to declutter?
  • Who is your favourite Arrows player?
  • Why do you want the Arrows to help you declutter?

The Arrows will review entrants’ answers and choose one lucky winner to help declutter ahead of their move in the GTA.

As Canada’s first professional rugby union, the Toronto Arrows have made their inaugural debut in Major League Rugby for the 2019 season. Their next game is this Sunday, May 12 at Lamport Stadium in Liberty Village against the Utah Warriors.

Make sure to get your tickets via Toronto Arrows to avoid missing out on the action.

The Toronto Arrows will be playing at Lamport through the remainder of the regular season and attending the games is one of the most fun things you could do on a Sunday afternoon in Toronto with your family or friends.
