Get ready for one of the chilliest nights in Toronto this year.

Following the City issuing Toronto’s first extreme cold weather alert of 2019 this morning, it looks like things are going to get worse before they get better.

This afternoon we’re going to see temperatures hover around -6°C but by this evening the temperature is going to drop down to -15°C, which will feel like -24°C with the windchill, according to Environment Canada.

This evening, Toronto is going to be hit with gusts of wind with speeds of up to 60 km/hr. This will also be accompanied by a 40% chance of flurries.

For Friday, expect a mix of sun and clouds with a high of -6°C, and even briskier -24°C with the windchill, which will ease to -10°C in the afternoon.

So bundle up in all the layers. It’s going to be very, very cold tonight and tomorrow.
