It’s already Sunday – so we better start planning your week.

We’ve combed through pages of concert listings, live performances and dance parties to bring you a curated shortlist of the coolest activities for all price-ranges and interests.

There’s something for everyone, so don’t hold back!

Sail-In Cinema

For three nights every year, Sugar Beach turns into a massive (and free) outdoor movie theatre. From the lake, viewers can sail into the theatre. And fear not if you’re on land! You can bring a blanket and screen the show from dry land. The final night is a showing of The Princess Bride, so this is one outdoor film experience you don’t want to miss.

Where: Sugar Beach at 25 Dockside Drive

When: August 18 – 20 at approximately 8 pm

Mad Decent Block Party

Do you live on a really boring block that never hosts any halfway decent parties? Well then, head off to Fort York for a mad decent concert that’s sure to delight music lovers. Catch performances from the likes of Diplo, Sleepy Tom, and Bishu. Regular tickets will set you back $46.50.

Where: Fort York Garrison at 250 Fort York Garrison

Pokemon Go Pub Crawl

As a kid, did you hope adulthood would be one long drunken game of Pokemon? Well, now is the chance to realize that childhood dream! Put an inebriated spin on everyone’s favourite game by adding dranks to the equation.  If you can’t catch ’em all with beer goggles on, then maybe you don’t deserve to! Having said that, the event is open to everyone, regardless of skill or experience with the game. Players will be divided into three teams, with a $500 Pokemon Go Prize Pack up for grabs. Tickets are $25 at the door.

Where: Meet up at 184 Tequila Jack’s on Pearl Street

When: August 19 starting at 9 pm

The Canadian National Exhibition

The CNE literally does have something for everyone. This longstanding tradition features a midway, barnyard animals, an arts and crafts pavilion, and waffles with ice cream! What’s better than eating a ton of the CNE’s famous donuts, then throwing them up while riding a roller coaster? Ride All Day Passes are currently on sale for $40 each.

Where: 210 Princes’ Boulevard

When: August 19 – September 4

The Sweetery Food Festival

Do you love confectionary more than life itself? Well, you can act like a kid in a candy store at The Sweetery Food Festival. Featuring such vendors as Sweet Spot Ice Cream, Eva’s Original Chimneys (famous for their, you guessed it, chimneys) and Golden Crumb Biscuits. If the world is getting you down, go bliss out on baked goods. With so much selection, you are bound to find your perfect comfort food. You know you want to! Admission is free.

Where: David Pecault Square at 215 King Street West

When: August 20-21

The Wild Blueberry Festival

Why should strawberries and raspberries get all the love? It’s time to celebrate the mighty blueberry at the annual Wild Blueberry Festival. Head out to the Evergreen Brickworks for chef demos and over 30 different blueberry dishes, including pies, soda, and even pizza! Celebrate this delicious fruit by stuffing your face with blueberry shortcake until you make yourself sick.
