Rain and risk of thunderstorms predicted for Toronto over the next two days

It could be a wet couple of days in Toronto, as both Sunday and Monday in the city are predicted to bring rain with a risk of thunderstorms.

On Sunday, it will be cloudy near noon with showers and a risk of thunderstorms, according to Environment Canada. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 26ºC but will feel more like 31ºC with the humidex.

The evening will be partly cloudy and there’s a 40% chance of showers early this evening with a continuing risk of thunderstorms and a low 14ºC.

Monday will bring mainly sun with increasing cloudiness late in the morning and a 40% chance of showers in the afternoon and a risk of thunderstorms.

Winds will be increasingly strong and may reach 40 km/h by late in the morning. Environment Canada is calling for a high of 25ºC which will feel like 28ºC.

By Monday night, expect cloudy periods with a slightly lower chance of showers (30%) and a low of 14ºC.

From there the weather agency says to expect nothing but sun for the week until Friday evening, when there will be a chance of showers.
