Environment Canada issues three-day heat warning for Toronto

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Toronto that will last until at least Monday morning.

Daytime highs this weekend are expected to hover around 30 or 31C and nighttime temperatures aren’t forecast to go below 21C. Humidex values will make it feel even hotter, the weather agency said in a statement.

Environment Canada reminded residents that high temperatures can also bring reduced air quality. It also advised people to watch out for signs of heat-related illness including swelling, rash, cramps, and fainting.

The heat should break on Tuesday, when cooler air is forecast to come to the city.
