American rock band, The Killers are coming to Toronto this summer for a show at Scotiabank Place, as part of a newly-announced world tour.

The chart-topping band will take the stage for the all-ages show on September 25, and will be joined by opening act, Johnny Marr.

The Killers will be touring in support of their new, sixth studio album, Imploding The Mirage.

The Killers, named after a fictional band referenced in the music video for the New Order song “Crystal,” were formed in Las Vegas in 2001 by frontman Brandon Flowers.

They quickly became known for their arena-pleasing anthems in songs like “Somebody Told Me,” “Mr. Brightside,” and “All These Things I’ve Done.”

Since the release of their debut album, Hot Fuss, The Killers have sold 28 million albums, headlined stadiums and festivals around the world, and won dozens of accolades globally.

Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, March 20, at 10 am, through Live Nation.
