You’ve probably heard of Terre Bleu lavender farm during summers in Toronto.

Terre Bleu, which is located just an hour north-west of the city, is the largest lavender farm in Ontario, but it’s also home to over 40,000 lavender plants, making it a must-visit for flower enthusiasts.

Each year, Terre Bleu harvests nine different varieties of lavender in their fields, all of which bloom at different times during the summer season, creating picturesque colour in the fields.

And while it’s almost winter, the farm is open this weekend as it hosts a free mini holiday photography event.

“We have dusted off the snow and decorated our yellow door with greenery from the farm,” said the farm in an Instagram post.

“Starting tomorrow we will have staff on hand to take up to three quality family holiday photos absolutely FREE. Our farm will be open from 11-5 pm Friday Saturday and Sunday.”

They add that the sessions will be on a first come first serve basis.

“So bundle up and come out to the farm early, have a lavender hot chocolate and enjoy browsing our holiday gift collection. Oh and yes you can even bring your family pet to complete your holiday photo,” they add.

Be sure to check the weather before heading out, and their website in case of cancellations.
