Taco Bell’s Toasted Cheesy Chalupa is back in Canada, and they’re bringing a new friend with them, the new Jalapeño Noir wine, starting this week.

Launching as the “perfect accompaniment,” the fast-food company has announced the limited-edition wine for food lovers coming on September 16.

According to Taco Bell Canada, the Toasted Cheesy Chalupa, which features six-month aged sharp cheddar cheese toasted onto a chalupa shell, filled with beef, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, grated cheddar cheese, and reduced-fat sour cream, is currently available for Taco Bell aficionados.

Jalapeño Noir, crafted by Ontario’s Queenston Mile Vineyard, is set to pair perfectly with the Toasted Cheesy Chalupa, making this Taco Bell favourite a little classier.

“Wine and cheese are simply meant to be together, so launching a new wine to go with the craveable, cheddary Toasted Cheesy Chalupa made perfect sense,” said Kat Garcia, director of brand marketing in a statement.

“At Taco Bell Canada, we love to raise our glass to big, bold ideas that elevate our menu items, and pairing our Toasted Cheesy Chalupa with this Jalapeño Noir is no exception.”

Vegetarians are able to sub the beef for beans so they too can enjoy and pair the limited-edition red wine.

The bottle is also a collector’s item as there are three unique bottle labels available for purchase.

Ontarians 19+ will be able to purchase Jalapeño Noir for $25 on the Taco Bell Canada website or in select locations in Hamilton and Toronto through Uber Eats.
