Sustainable fashion brand Reformation opens first store in Canada

Jul 11 2019, 9:40 pm

From Meghan Markle and Kaia Gerber to Halsey and Emma Watson, fashion stars and influences can’t seem to get enough of the Reformation’s effortless and sustainable pieces.

And now, rather than having to shop from home in your PJs or on a trip to the states (if you happen to be near one of the 14 stores) you can shop from the popular American brand in person, at its first international store outside of the US — right here in Toronto.

As a 100% carbon, waste, and water neutral company, Reformation infuses green practices into every aspect of its business, from production in its sustainable Los Angeles factory to repurposed vintage pieces, and sustainable fabrics, so you can always feel somewhat guilt-free about shelling out $150 for a top.

Plus, if you shop online, your order is delivered in a crisp, recyclable, and compostable packaging that’s made out of vegetables (#bless).

The new Toronto location will take up 1,650 sq. ft. in Yorkdale Shopping Centre and will feature natural and recyclable materials, including vintage furniture, eco-friendly fabrics, reusable totes, hangers, and garment bags, and will offset 100% of electricity usage with wind energy.

Shoppers can peruse the racks that will be filled with a bunch of the brand’s sustainably made styles, including summer dresses, jeans, tees and tops, shoes, and bags.

To coincide with the store opening, Reformation has also improved its online shopping experience for Canadians.

Now, you can enjoy free express shipping (two to three days transit time), duties included in the product price (no shipping or duties added at checkout), and no additional charges at the time of delivery).

Plus, returns can be made easily through a self-service portal where you can print your own return label.
