There's a massive outdoor rink at Toronto's stackt market

stackt market’s festive Holiday Hills event is back for another year, and with it comes the return of the giant Crokicurl rink.

Toronto’s shipping container market is hosting the seasonal event from November 17 to January 3, and Crokicurl is on from November 20 to February 28.

Crokicurl is a hybrid of two Canadian classics: Crokinole and curling. The outdoor, distanced game is a perfect COVID-19 activity.

Each ticket for Crokicurl gets you 50 minutes of game time and a 50-minute patio reservation at the market’s Belgian Moon Warming Station. Games can be played by two to eight people at a time.

stackt market says it has implemented a number of health and safety measures to keep guests safe.

Patio tables have been moved to six feet apart, and no more than four people will be allowed at each table. Serving staff and guests are required to wear a mask when not eating or drinking.

Tables and Crokicurl rocks will be sanitized between each group, and a mandatory tracing questionnaire will be required when guests check in for a game or sit on the patio.

“At stackt, safety is our number one priority,” the market says.

In addition to Crokicurl, Holiday Hills also features outdoor fire pits, live music, and the city’s first Yurt wine bar, as well as stack’s assortment of local shops.
