A man was rushed to hospital early Saturday morning after a stabbing north of North York Centre subway station.

According to police, a group of six suspects surrounded the victim and his friends and assaulted them.

Officers responded, and the man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

As of noon Saturday, police did not have a suspect description and nobody has been arrested.

Laura Brabant with the Toronto Police Service said the assault occurred at Doris Avenue and Church Avenue, near the Metro Grocery store. That’s about halfway between Finch Station and North York Centre Station.
