The St. Lawrence Market is one of the city’s most endearing, wholesome, and delicious places to visit.
And it’s looking like the time that you have to stop by may be changing sometime soon.
Whether that means more open hours or less open hours, though, is yet to be determined. And, if you’re invested, you can help make the call.
The market shared on Instagram that on October 2, it’ll be hosting a public consultation to discuss the hours of operation of the St. Lawrence Market South Building.
Running from 7 to 9 pm, the meeting is being held with the “objective of optimizing the hours to better support the Toronto and market community.”

Currently, the market’s hours are from 8 am to 6 pm from Tuesdays to Thursdays, 8 am to 7 pm on Fridays, and from 5 am to 5 pm on Saturdays.
So if you’re keen on later Saturday starts, opening hours on Sundays or time to shop on Mondays, make sure you head to the consultation to have your say.
If you’re unable to attend, you can email [email protected] with your suggestions.
