Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market Farmers Market is set to open its outdoor season starting this Saturday with all the fresh produce and goods.

The market will begin May 1, and farmers will be located on Market Street between The Esplanade and Wilton Street.

According to the City, year-round farmers will continue to operate inside the Temporary Market at 125 The Esplanade, and lineup spots for both indoor and outdoor farmers will start on Market Street.

“All non-essential (non-food) businesses at the St. Lawrence Market are closed for in-person shopping, and some are offering delivery and curbside pickup. The Sunday Antique Market continues to be temporarily closed,” said the city in a press release.

With about 120 merchants, vendors and farmers, customers will be able to find the freshest produce, meats and specialty food items.

Customers are reminded to wear their masks while shopping at both the indoor and outdoor Markets. It is suggested that shoppers come alone or with one other person if help is needed.

Extensive COVID-19 precautions are still in place, including enhanced sanitization, capacity and entrance management, and physical distancing.
