Feb 19 2020, 3:11 pm

While the weather this week has generally been on the cold side, expect warmer temperatures this weekend in Toronto.

According to The Weather Network, “snow squalls will meander across southern Ontario through Thursday ahead of a gorgeous spring-like weekend ahead.”

Tomorrow will be the coldest day this week, as it is expected to feel like -10°C or colder with the wind chill.

But by Friday, the weather agency said that temperatures “will rebound tremendously.”

“We’ll be seeing our longest stretch of dry weather this winter as conditions look to remain calm from Friday right through next Tuesday,” said Weather Network’s meteorologist Tyler Hamilton. “This will be a gorgeous weekend, especially by winter standards.”

Expect sunshine coupled with well above seasonal temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday.

It will be 5°C on Saturday, and will be even warmer, with a high of 8°C on Sunday.

“This won’t be the signal for an early spring, however, as much colder weather is expected by the second half of next week and into the start of March as well,” said the Weather Network.

So enjoy the sunshine and warmth while it lasts, Toronto.
