Sportsnet is launching a brand new sports bar in Toronto tomorrow

Sportsnet is opening a sports bar.

The sports-centric network is unveiling the Sportsnet Grill inside Toronto’s Marriott City Centre Hotel tomorrow, Wednesday, August 8.

Ahead of the 2018 MLB Playoffs and upcoming NHL and NBA seasons, the new 220-seat sports bar overlooks the Rogers Centre field and will screen live programming and events.

“In partnership with the Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel, we’ve created a fun, casual and contemporary space that serves as a perfect downtown destination for sports fans to meet and enjoy watching games all year round,” said Scott Moore, President of Sportsnet & NHL Properties in a press release. “It’s a priority for us to continue finding innovative and exciting ways to engage our audiences with the Sportsnet brand by providing not only the content they want, but also experiences in watching that content that they can’t get anywhere else.”

Set to operate seven-days-a-week the new spot will also offer reservations with window seating on game days.

On opening day, festivities will include a pop-up activation from United By Sport in the parkette adjacent to the restaurant’s entrance as well as the chance to sample the menu, win tickets, discount cards, and other prizes from 1 pm.
