Sportsnet reveals broadcast teams for each Stanley Cup Playoff series

The Stanley Cup Playoffs begin on Saturday.

With five Canadian teams in the fight for the Stanley Cup this year, Sportsnet has had to pull out its A-Team to broadcast each of the four series taking place up north.

The network has announced its national broadcast plans for the first round of the playoffs, with the Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Winnipeg Jets starting their playoff journeys over the next few days.

Here’s who Sportsnet has picked to call the games for them this year:

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Ottawa Senators

Chris Cuthbert (play-by-play), Craig Simpson (analyst), Kyle Bukauskas (reporter)

Montreal Canadiens vs. Washington Capitals

John Bartlett (play-by-play), Garry Galley (analyst), Shawn McKenzie (reporter)

Edmonton Oilers vs. Los Angeles Kings

Jack Michaels (play-by-play), Louie DeBrusk (analyst), Gene Principe (reporter)

Winnipeg Jets vs. St. Louis Blues

Harnarayan Singh (play-by-play), John Garrett (analyst), Scott Oake (reporter)

The pregame, postgame, and intermission duties will be done by Ron MacLean, David Amber, Kevin Bieksa, Elliotte Friedman, Kelly Hrudey, Jennifer Botterill, Luke Gazdic, Sam Cosentino, with Derek Lalonde for select games.

Hockey Night in Canada: Punjabi Edition on OMNI will also be broadcasting for select Saturday games, with Randip Janda, Harpreet Pandher, Gurpreet Sian, Mantar Bhandal, and Taqdeer Thindal on the call.

The four series featuring solely American teams will feature simulcasts for most games from U.S. broadcast partners.
