Someone stole an 800 pound City of Toronto speed camera

The Toronto Police Service (TPS) is requesting assistance from the public after a photo radar speed camera was stolen.

According to police, the device was taken from its location at Jameson Avenue and Queen Street West area, sometime between Wednesday, June 10 and Friday, June 12.

The City of Toronto has an Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) system installed in the Jameson Avenue and Queen Street West area.

On June 12 the police responded to the call for theft.

It has been reported that the photo radar speed camera weighs approximately 800 pounds and typically requires a hydraulic lift to remove it.
