Get ready for a new health craze in Toronto.

The popular spin studio, SoulCycle, is opening its first Canadian location, right here in the 6ix.

SoulCycle confirmed on their website that the King Street location opens on March 2.

The American company first teased about the Canadian opening on Twitter last summer. They have since posted about their opening, and introduced their instructors on their website.

First established in 2006, the riding community is now in many U.S cities including New York City, Chicago, and can be found all around California, Texas, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. Their mission is to “bring Soul to the people,” and they do so by throwing “a cardio party.”

According to their website, their classes are a full-body workout.

SoulCycle is an efficient, effective full-body workout that you’ll actually love doing. In 45 minutes, you’ll burn 400 to 700 calories, strengthen your core, and tone all over. We use hand weights for our signature 5 to 7-minute arm series and we do choreography that’s as challenging as it is fun. This high- intensity, low-impact experience all happens on the SOULCYCLE bike — and it’s designed for all fitness levels.

Expect to pay a hefty price for this work out. Although pricing isn’t confirmed for Toronto’s location, one class in the States costs $34 U.S.

SoulCycle Toronto will be located at 435 King Street West.

Will you be joining the new craze?
