Toronto woke up to a blanket of snow on Wednesday (PHOTOS)

Snow in April? Who would’ve thought! Despite nearing May, Mother Nature decided to give Toronto some snow to wake up to on Wednesday morning.

The Weather Network predicted up to five centimetres of the fluffy white stuff to accumulate overnight on Tuesday and into Wednesday — and wouldn’t you know it, a blanket of snow has covered the city.

Though the snow isn’t here to stay, it might be safe to say that this isn’t what anyone was expecting in April. Here’s what Torontonians saw when they looked outside their windows this morning:
