Toronto Shoppers Drug Mart employees test positive for COVID-19

More Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Toronto and the GTA have reported COVID-19 cases among their staff within 24 hours.

According to Loblaw Ltd., two Shoppers Drug Mart locations reported cases among their staff members in a day.

On November 17, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart located at 5095 Yonge Street tested positive on a presumptive coronavirus test. They had last worked on November 13.

A Shoppers Drug Mart located at 1800 Sheppard Avenue East in Willowdale also reported an employee testing positive on a presumptive test. They had last worked on November 13.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws regularly updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
