More GTA Shoppers Drug Mart employees test positive for COVID-19

Eight Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Toronto and the GTA have reported COVID-19 cases among their staff this week.

According to Loblaws Ltd., on November 6, an employee at the Shoppers Drug Mart at 51 Underhill Drive in North York tested positive for COVID-19. They had last worked on November 3.

On November 7, two employees at the Shoppers Drug Mart at 265 Port Union Road in Scarborough tested positive for the virus. They had last worked on October 29 and November 4.

In Etobicoke, a Shoppers Drug Mart at 666 Burnhamthorpe Road reported an employee testing positive for COVID-19 on November 9. They had last worked on November 4.

That same day, a Shoppers Drug Mart at 4141 Dixie Road in Mississauga reported an employee testing positive for the virus. They had last worked on November 4.

On November 9, a Shoppers Drug Mart at 69 Yonge Street reported an employee testing positive. They had last worked on November 4.

On November 10, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart located at 123 Rexdale Boulevard in Etobicoke tested positive for COVID-19. They had last worked on November 3.

That same day, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart located at 1859 Leslie Street tested positive for COVID-19. They had last worked on November 7.

On November 10, an employee at the Shoppers Drug Mart located at 2900 Warden Avenue in Scarborough tested positive for COVID-19. The last day they worked was on October 30.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws regularly updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
