Woodbridge Shoppers Drug Mart employee tests positive for COVID-19

Nine employees at several Shoppers Drug Mart locations in the Toronto area reported testing positive for COVID-19 in the last few days.

On January 15, a Shoppers Drug Mart located at 5100 Rutherford Road in Woodbridge reported an employee testing positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They last worked on January 11.

That same day two employees at the 2528 Bayview Avenue Shoppers Drug Mart reported testing positive on presumptive tests for the virus. They both last worked on January 8.

At a separate Shoppers Drug Mart on January 15, an employee at 970 Queen Street East reported testing positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19 and last worked on January 10.

The same day a Shoppers Drug Mart employee at 2355 Warden Avenue in Scarborough reported testing positive on a presumptive test for the virus. They last worked on January 8.

In Toronto, a Shoppers Drug Mart employee at 747 Don Mills Road reported testing positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on January 7.

On January 16, an employee at the 1735 Kipling Avenue Shoppers Drug Mart reported testing positive on a presumptive test for the virus. They last worked on January 9.

On January 17, an employee at the Shoppers Drug Mart location at 600 The East Mall, reported testing positive on a presumptive test for the virus and had last worked on January 13.

That same day, an employee at the 759 Mount Pleasant Road Shoppers Drug Mart reported testing positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. The last day they worked was January 13.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
