Etobicoke Shoppers Drug Mart employee tests positive for COVID-19

As the province continues to report record-breaking COVID-19 numbers, more positive cases are being reported at Shoppers Drug Mart locations across the GTA.

On December 5, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart at 900 Albion Road tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on November 28.

That same day, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart at 10665 Bramalea Road in Brampton tested positive on a presumptive test for the virus. They had last worked on November 30.

Also on December 5, a Shoppers Drug Mart at 10661 Chinguacousy Road in Brampton reported two employees testing positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on December 1 and December 2.

On December 7, a Shoppers Drug Mart at 11965 Hurontario Street in Brampton reported an employee testing positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on December 3.

That same day, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart at 5033 Hurontario Street in Mississauga tested positive on a presumptive test for the virus. They had last worked on December 1.

In Etobicoke, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart at 600 The East Mall tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on November 30.

Several Toronto grocery stores have also reported cases in the last few days.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
