More Brampton Shoppers Drug Mart employees test positive for COVID-19

Nine more COVID-19 cases have been reported at Toronto and GTA Shoppers Drug Mart locations from employees in over day.

According to Loblaws, on December 10, four employees at a Shoppers Drug Mart located at 10661 Chinguacousy Road in Brampton tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They last worked on December 1, 2, and 4.

Another Shoppers Drug Mart at 8965 Chinguacousy Road reported an employee testing positive on a presumptive test having last worked on December 4.

In Toronto, a Shoppers Drug Mart at 900 Albion Road, reported two employees testing positive on presumptive tests for coronavirus. They last worked on November 28 and 30, respectively.

An employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart at 1012 Pape Avenue, tested positive on a presumptive test for the virus. They had last worked on December 6.

In Scarborough, an employee at the Shoppers Drug Mart location at 300 Borough Drive, tested positive on a presumptive test. The last day they had worked was on December 1.

Several Toronto grocery stores and LCBO locations have also reported cases in the last few days.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
