Etobicoke’s Sherway Gardens mall is being turned into the North Pole for a new festive drive-thru, and you can even meet Santa.

The CF Holiday Drive-Thru will take guests on an enchanted journey as they follow an elf on a mission to fill the “holiday cheer battery” that powers Santa’s sleigh.

The immersive experience is free and will run from November 24 until Christmas Eve.

Narration, interactive activities, and holiday character sightings are featured throughout seven festive stops, Cadillac Fairview (CF) says.

The experience begins in the colourfully illuminated “Tinsel Tunnel,” before you’re whisked to an enchanted forest, vibrant town square, and Santa’s workshop. The final stop includes a physically distanced meeting with Santa himself.

Physical Santa experiences at all 19 CF shopping centres have been moved online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Fun for the entire family, community members are invited to get into the holiday spirit by taking part in the magic and mystery of the season through this vibrant, one-of-a-kind expedition filled with anticipation, joy and excitement,” CF says.

In light of COVID-19, CF says it has integrated extensive health and safety measures into all holiday programming.
Although the Holiday Drive-Thru is free, reservations must be made online in advance.
