Downtown restaurant serving free meals to those in need

Apr 3 2020, 9:01 am

To serve the community in its current state, one downtown restaurant is offering mouthwatering meals at no charge for those in need.

Score on King has introduced a new campaign, aptly called “Pay it Score-ward,” that means free meals for those who need them, with the only cost being that they pay it forward in whatever way they can.

“You shouldn’t have to choose between paying rent and buying food,” one staff member said in the Instagram video explaining the initiative.

All you need to do to partake is call Score on King at 416-519-4654 and request to order your meal through the program. You can select any one item on the spot’s takeout menu, save for nachos, and pick it up for free.

The offer will run through to the end of April.

For those who would like to enjoy a meal from Score on King and are in a position to purchase one, the spot is live on Skip the Dishes and Uber Eats, and offers contact-free pick up for take-out orders.

They’re open from noon to 8 pm every day and are offering a daily Happy Hour from 1 pm to 5 pm, with all food on for $10 and drinks available cheap, too.
