Everybody’s favourite non-running event returns next weekend, as the annual Santa Speedo Run takes the streets of Toronto.
On Saturday, December 14, the 13th annual Santa Speedo Run, a “cheeky” little jog through the Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood with participants wearing only running shoes and bathing suits, returns.
The Toronto Santa Speedo Run started in 2005, and was conjured up “in a fit of whimsy as a fun run with the only objective being to raise as much money as possible to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children Toys and Games fund.”
Since then, the group has raised more than $350,000 for the fund.
So gear up, and get ready to run or watch the breezy 3 km event.
When: Saturday, December 14 at 1:30 pm
Where: Hemingway’s Restaurant, 142 Cumberland Street
