Sunsprout product recalled due to possible salmonella contamination

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall of the Sunsprout brand Micro Greens Alfalfa & Radish due to possible Salmonella contamination.

According to the statement, the CFIA is issuing a warning to the public not to eat the product and retailers, restaurants and institutions not to sell or use it.

The product is currently being sold in Ontario with the UPC code 0 57621 13512 3.

Foods that are contaminated with Salmonella might not look or smell rotten but have the ability to make you sick, according to the food agency website.

Symptoms may include fever, headache, vomiting, and stomach cramps among others.

To date, there have been no reported illnesses linked to this product.
