After his hosting duties at the Golden Globes this year, comedian Ricky Gervais announced he’s coming to Toronto for a show this summer.

According to Live Nation, Gervais initially announced the news that he would once again be touring the 2020 on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last week.

His new live show SuperNature will stop at Toronto’s Meridian Hall on August 21, 2020.

‘SuperNature’ follows Gervais’ 2017 ‘Humanity’ tour, which was the comedian’s first world tour in over seven years. ‘Humanity’ sold out top venues, received worldwide acclaim, and was recorded for a Netflix special.

“Considered the most influential British comedian since Charlie Chaplin, Ricky Gervais is an award-winning stand-up comedian, with five international tours to date,” said Live Nation in the show announcement.

“His live stand up show ‘Fame’ became the fastest-selling UK stand-up show in history. Gervais can most recently be seen in the dark comedy ‘After Life,’ which he created, directs, stars in and executive produced.”

As well, it was recently announced that the series will return for a second season this year.

Besides being a host, Gervais has won three Golden Globes, two Primetime Emmys, and seven BAFTAS.

And now you can watch him live, in person.
