Ex-Toronto Raptors teammates pumped about Siakam being named Eastern Finals MVP

Former Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam is headed back to the NBA Finals, this time as a member of the Indiana Pacers.
Following the Pacers knocking off the New York Knicks in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference Final, Siakam will play in his second-ever final series. The first came with the Raptors back in 2019, when Toronto defeated the Golden State Warriors.
The 31-year-old is hoping to secure his second championship ring against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and he’s getting plenty of support from his former Raptors teammates.
Toronto star Scottie Barnes took to Instagram to show support for Siakam being named the Eastern Conference Final MVP.
“Pascalll!!!” Barnes wrote on his Instagram story on a reel of Siakam getting the award.

Barnes played alongside Siakam in Toronto between 2021 and 2023, up until the Raptors traded Pascal to Indiana.
That wasn’t the only high-profile Raptors player to show some love for Siakam, as Gradey Dick also shared a post onto his Instagram story.

The most touching of all these congratulatory messages came from ex-Raptor Fred VanVleet, who played on that 2019 Toronto squad that won the NBA Championship alongside Siakam.
“Legendary,” VanVleet posted on his Instagram story.

While Raptors fans would prefer to have their team go to the NBA Finals, you can bet that having a player as beloved as Siakam gunning for another title would be a close second.
