A McDonald’s restaurant in Toronto’s west end has temporarily closed after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee from the 10 The Queensway location near High Park received their positive test on Tuesday, McDonald’s Canada said in a news release. The company immediately closed down that restaurant for a thorough clean, and instructed all other employees who were working with the infected person to self-isolate.

“We are working to ensure we reopen safely, as we know our guests depend on their local McDonald’s,” the restaurant said.

The infected employee’s last shift was overnight from 11 pm on November 8 to 7 am on November 9. Anyone who visited the restaurant at those times should monitor for symptoms for 14 days after exposure.
