Toronto is getting a massive butter tart festival on June 22
Summer is coming, and it’s going to be oh-so-sweet.
Celebrate its arrival this year with The Queensway Butter Tart Festival, which honours the quintessentially Canadian Butter Tart in every way you can imagine.
Bakers will compete for the title of Toronto’s Best Butter Tart (with and without raisins!) an Out-of-the-box award for non-traditional creations, and The People’s Choice Award… which means that yes, you get to sample and get a say.

Activities, live music and shows are planned for the entire day, and there will be a Kids Zone with crafts, colouring activities and more.
And between snacking on your sweet treats, you can shop marketplace vendors that’ll be offering eco-friendly items, clothing, gifts and more.
Local food trucks and vendors will be dishing out savoury eats to balance out the day’s sweetness. Look forward to eats from Alijandro’s Kitchen, Coffee at Carlton’s, Holy Cannoli, Rebozos Mexican Restaurant, Road Grill Food Truck, and Waxy’s on Wheels.
And to wash it all down, there will be beers on deck from the six breweries that make up the South Etobicoke Brewers.
