Toronto Police have issued a Public Safety Alert after several robberies at TTC bus stops have been reported in the north-east side of Scarborough.

According to police, between the hours of 1 am and 6 am, on September 24 and September 26, four incidents occurred in the area bordered by Warden Avenue to Neilson Avenue and Shepard Avenue to Finch Avenue.

At those times, victims that have been dropped off or are waiting at TTC bus stops were approached by a group of males who then surround the victims and either assault them or pull out a knife before robbing the individuals.

Reports state that some of the victims did not notice the males approaching. Police are asking pedestrians to remain extra vigilant when travelling at these times.

“If possible, travel with a friend and be aware of your surroundings,” said police.

If there is anyone with information, they are asked to contact police at 416-808-4200, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477, online at 222tips.com, online on the Facebook Leave a Tip page, or text TOR and your message to 274637.
