Ontario Premier Doug Ford it set to speak at the Association of Municipalities Ontario conference this morning.
The event is being held online due the COVID-19 pandemic, and will focus on how municipalities can recover from the economic setbacks of the virus.
Ford will be speaking at 9:30 am and Health Minister Christine Elliot will also be a speaker at the event, which runs from August 17 to August 19.
The AMO has at times spoken out against the provincial government during the pandemic, saying last month that emergency funds haven’t reached to municipalities quickly enough.
They said it could be partially due to “federal-provincial wrangling about how to share the costs.”
Ford will also hold his daily media briefing at 1 pm from Queens Park.
