A new arcade bar is opening in Toronto on November 24

Arcade games and beer on Toronto’s east side? We’re in.

Pixels and Pints, a new arcade bar located near Broadview Station, is set to soft-open this Saturday.

For the soft-opening, the spot will be serving select pub food items, including classic favourites like burgers, wings and poutine. Because alcohol isn’t yet on the menu, you’ll be able to get bubble tea instead. You can choose from lychee, taro, honeydew, strawberry or passionfruit.

The menu will be expanded and alcoholic drinks will be served starting after Pixels’ grand-opening, set for December.

As for the games? You’ll be able to sit at the bar and play retro classics like Mortal Kombat, Rampage (the original… The Rock won’t be making an appearance), and Cruisin’ USA.

And keep an eye out for Cosplay Fridays. If you show up in costume, you’ll be entered into a draw to win free admission for a month.

So get your game face on and your cosplay costumes ready… it sounds like Pixels and Pints is about to become the place to be.
