The Government of Ontario is reporting 313 new COVID-19 cases on Monday morning, the highest numbers since early June.

This is an increase from Sunday’s 204, Saturday’s 232, and Friday’s 213.

According to Health Minister Christine Elliot, 78% of today’s cases are from three regions, with 112 in Toronto, 71 in Peel, and 60 in Ottawa.

All other public health units have fewer than 10 new cases, except for York with 13 cases. And 15 of the units have no new cases.

Elliot added that 30,000 tests were completed from the previous day.

“67% of today’s cases are in people under the age of 40,” she said.

To date, there has been a total of 44,817 cases, with 39,974 resolved and 2,816 reported deaths.
